Dear Teachers, Students and Staff of Darshan Academy schools,
|
|
It is with great Joy that we celebrate this milestone of fifteen years since we
opened the first Darshan Academy. Those who entered in the primary years would be
high school graduates now, making the first generation of students to be a part
of Darshan Academy. It is heart-warming to meet the students who have gone through
our schools as they embody the qualities and values for which the schools were created.

The goal of the Darshan Academy schools is to turn out students who are well – rounded
and developed in all; spheres of life: physically, mentally, and spiritually. When
we meet students who are a part of Darshan Academy we find they not only excel academically
and in the various hobbies, such as the arts, music or sports, but they are spiritually
developed. They exhibit the noble qualities of non violence, truthfulness, humility,
purity and selfless service. Darshan Academy students have love and respect for
people of all countries, religions and backgrounds. They are kind, giving and caring
people. Having one period a day for the spiritual curriculum, including daily meditation,
through the years they have attended Darshan Academy, they have become spiritually
aware and recognise that the true purpose of life is to know ones self And to know
the Creator. They know the value of sitting in silence to tap into the gifts latent
within. The students understand the peace, joy and happiness available to them whenever
they meditate. Darshan Academy schools have turned out students who not only have
access to inner peace but they radiate that peace to all they meet. Each students
learns how to be peaceful adds one more person t5o bring peace into this world.

I want to thank all those who have been involved with the Darshan Academies and
who have contributed to its success. I appreciate all the efforts put in by people
of all levels, from administrators, to the teachers, to the curriculum developers
and writers who produced the spiritual curriculum, to the entire staff who runs
the offices, the custodians, the food services workers, those who helped construct
the schools, those who donated time and money, and the many others who helped in
many ways to make these schools a reality.

I pray this first generation of Darshan Academy students and all those who continue
to attend share their gifts with the world to make this planet a better place for
all. I pray t that those who are involved in the work of Darshan Academy continue
their efforts to help these schools serve more and more students. The work you all
have done is not just for students of the current times but you are laying the groundwork
to provide an academic and spiritual education for students for generations, if
not, centuries to come.. May your efforts fructify so that we bring to this world
students whose physical, intellectual, and spiritual achievements make this world
a haven of peace, joy and love
