Message to the Youth at Darshan Academies By Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj

Dear Children of Light,

It brings me great joy that each of you is working hard to develop yourself fully at all levels: physically, mentally, and spiritually. It is a great blessing to the world that all of the teachers and students are working together to enrich your body, mind, and soul. In a world in which there are many problems and difficulties, you are all adding joy and Light.

In many schools around the world, students focus only on developing their body and mind. But you are also learning how to develop your soul. The soul is nourished through learning meditation, practicing ethical virtues, having love for all human beings, and Message For Teachers from Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj serving others selflessly. Just think of what a wonderful world this would be if people had love for each other and wanted to help each other without any reward! Such a world would be filled with peace and joy. Each of you is contributing to building such a world. One by one, every teacher and student is spreading light and love to this world. Wherever you go, you are bringing joy and peace to those around you. What a great gift you each have to offer the world.

Each time we meditate we are finding peace for ourselves. The moments we sit in meditation are those in which we are connecting with the inner Light and Sound. We are tapping into the rich treasures of divinity within us. It is a time in which we are uncovering the mysteries of life. Meditation helps us discover who we are as a soul. As we meditate, the peace we find within also bubbles out to the world around us. When people find that we are peaceful, they feel peaceful around us. We become like a refreshing pool of water in which they find peace and comfort. The more we meditate, the more our Light and love pour out to the world.

Each time we are nonviolent, truthful, pure, loving, humble, and selfless, we radiate these qualities to those around us. When we are nonviolent, we bring peace to the environment around us. When we are truthful, we inspire others to be truthful. When we are pure, we radiate purity to those around us. When we are loving, we spread love to every heart. When we are humble, we are like empty vessels through which God’s grace can flow. When we serve selflessly, we heal the broken hearts of others. What a wonderful world we are building by developing ethical qualities.

When we develop love for all humanity, we are bringing peace to the world. We are children of one God. We are all brothers and sisters in the Lord. No matter what country or religion we belong to we are all one large family of the Creator. Each of us is a soul, a spark of God. The same Light of God shines in each of us. If we realize this, we will have love for all people. Each time one of us develops love for all, we are making the world a more peaceful, loving place.

Each time we serve humanity, we are helping to relieve the pain in more and more hearts. Through selfless service, we make sure that people who are hungry are fed. We are making sure that people who are thirsty have something to drink. We are making sure that people who are homeless have a place to live. We are making sure that those who are ill are comforted. We are making sure that those who need assistance at any level are being helped. We are making sure that those who are spiritually poor come to know of the spiritual riches within them. Selfless service is a way of using our hands and feet as servants of the Lord to help our brothers and sisters in need. If everyone around the world learned the lessons you are learning in selfless service, no child would go hungry. People would learn to give to others and we could take care of the entire family of God.

I pray that each one of you is successful in the full development of your body, mind, and soul and that each of you experiences a life ahead of bliss, joy, love, and Light.
