Message for the 3rd Annual School Magazine “DARSHANIKA”

I am so proud of all the students attending the
Darshan Academies .
There are millions of children around the world who are going to
school to learn academic subjects such as reading, math, science,
social studies, and language arts. They are preparing themselves for
a future career. But all of you at the Darshan Academies are not
only preparing for academic excellence, you are studying the
greatest science of all -the science of the soul or the spiritual
science. You are not only preparing for your future academically,
but are planting the seeds for the growth of your soul.
The time that you spend daily in meditation and in studying the
spiritual curriculum is giving you a preparation for life that will
help you develop your body, mind and soul. You are learning how to
tap inside yourselves to find the spiritual riches. You are
uncovering the divinity within yourselves. You are learning to lead
an ethical life, so that you will become fine men and women when you
grow up.
You are learning the tools in childhood, which many adults are still
struggling to learn. You are learning how to be nonviolent,
truthful, and humble. You are learning how to get along and
appreciate people of all faiths and cultures. You are learning how
to make your life one of selfless service for others. You are caring
for other people as well as the plants and animals. The world is in
need of people like all of you. One day you will make a contribution
to the world to make life on this planet a better place.
All of you are living up to the great ideals of the great Masters,
Hazur Baba Sawan Singh Ji Maharaj, Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj, and
Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj, on whose principles the school is
based. I have great love for each of you and pray that you each
reach the highest goals of life, physically, intellectually, and
spiritually. My best wishes are with each of you.
