He maintained we are spirit and function in the world through a mind and body. To realize our full potential, we need to
develop spiritually without neglecting our physical health or intellectual growth. |

Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj’s life was a testimony of his message of positive mysticism, pursuing spiritual development
while living in the mainstream. Alongside his spiritual practices, as a young man he took an active part in athletics,
college debates, and literary activities. Having entered government service in 1942, he retired as deputy secretary of the government of India after thirty-seven years of distinguished service. |

| Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj was imbued with love for all creation. Divine love was his hallmark and was reflected in his
every word and action. As he said in one of his verses: |
| |
| What does it matter if I'm called a man; |
In truth, I am the very soul of love.
The entire earth is my home,
| And the universe my country. |

| We at Darshan Academy are honoured that the schools are named after this great spiritual Master whose
life was dedicated to spreading the message of peace, love and human unity. |
