Darshanities shine at Hisar  
   
Rishab Hooda of class X, Darshan Academy Hisar, participated in the Inter Block Athletic Meet at Panipat. He won a gold medal in the 1500 meter under 16 category and was selected to participate in the State Level Meet.  
   
Ritika of class VII, Darshan Academy Hisar, participated in the 8th Haryana State MTV Cycling Championship held at Kurukshetra University Stadium from 26th Feb. to 28th Feb. She won a gold medal in the 500 m Cycle Race and bronze in the 5 km Hilly Area Cycle Race. The event was organized by Haryana State Cycling Association.
   
3rd International Mathematics Olympiad Examination  
   
Baby Ishita Kalra of class IV and Manisha of class VI brought laurels to Darshan Academy Kaithal by being chosen to participate in the 2nd round of the 3rd International Mathematics Olympiad Examination. The event is organised by Science Olympic Foundation New Delhi.  
   
Annual All India Essay Writing Event, Meerut  
   
Somya Verma of class VIII and Naman Jaiswal of class X, Darshan Academy Meerut, won 1st Positions in the the Annual All India Essay Writing Event 2009 organised by Shri Ram Chandra Mission in collaboration with United Nations Information Centre for India & Bhutan.  
   
Aptitude Test conducted by Satyam Fashon Institute, Noida  
   
Sneha Kapoor of grade XI, Shivani Arora and Mahima Mahajan of grade XII, won gold medals and were awarded merit certificates for their outstanding performance in the aptitude test conducted by Satyam Fashion Institute, Noida.  
 
   
Cyber Olympiad Contest-2009  
   
Ten students Of Darshan Academy Hisar participated in the second round All India Cyber Olympiad Contest-2009 held at Gurgaon in December. Vikas Beniwal received a gold medal & a certificate in the contest. Other students were awarded with merit certificates.

Republic Day Celebrations  
   
On the eve of Republic Day celebrations Darshan Academy Kaithal brought laurels by securing first position in the cultural program organised by District Administration, Kaithal. On this occasion two of our students (participants of Indo-Nepal Table soccer championship) were also honored by the administration  
 
Darshan Academy Dasuya students celebrated Republic Day with full enthusiasm and presented a melodious group song, Kotie Kotie Kanthon Ney Gaya, in the cultural program organised by District Administration. Their performance was highly appreciated and they also won a trophy with certificate from the S.D.M. Dasuya.  
   
Darshan Academy Delhi Awards  
   
    • Nitin Demla of XII Darshan Academy Delhi, won the ‘Student of the Year’ award by Times of India. He received a certificate, a memento and a gift voucher worth Rs1000 from NIE Group.
    • Poorvi Singh of Darshan Academy Delhi participated in the Short Put at the 7th Inter District National Sports meet held at Hardiwar on 7th November 2009.
    • Sachin Demla of grade IX Darshan Academy Delhi won laurels for the school by securing 1st Position for English and 2nd position for Hindi Extempore competitions at State Level.

Students of Darshan Academy Devlali participated in the District Level Drawing and Handwritting competition organized by Nashik District Rangkala Shikshak Manch.
    • Sanjeev Kumar, Krutika Nazre & Pranav Karad stood 1st , 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Group IV (Std. IV - VII) Drawing Competition.
    • Himanshu Sharma, Mitali Bhattad & Manas Kshatriya stood 1st , 2nd and 3rd respectively in Group III (I - III) Drawing Competition.
    • Prashant Iyer & Shubham Sharma stood 2nd & 3rd respectively in the Group II (II -III)Handwriting Competition.
 
   
Harnoor brought laurels for Darshan Academy,Ludhiana Oct 2009  
   
Harnoor Singh Toor, student of Darshan Academy Ludhiana, participated in the CBSE Cluster XVI Table Tennis Championships, held at MGM Public School from 22nd to 25th October, 2009. He took part in the Team Championships as well as the Individual Championships and we are proud that he emerged as runner-up champion. He will be representing the CBSE Cluster – 16 (under 14, boys category) in the CBSE National Table Tennis Championship to be held in Nagpur, Maharashtra, from 21st to 28th December, 2009.  
 
   
National Level Science Talent Search Examination 2009  
   
The Unified Council of India, Hyderabad, organised the National Level Science Talent Search Examination 2009 at the All India National level on 25th January 2009. The examination contained questions in Science, Mathematics & General Knowledge. This year 340,000 students participated in NSTSE.  
   
The examination provides a platform to students of Class I - XII to show their ability. Students securing rank below 100 are recognized as national toppers.

Earth Day Competition  
   
Students of Darshan Academy Meerut participated in an inter-school “Poster Making” & “Recycling of Waste Materials Competition,” organised by Dayawati Modi Academy, on 23 April 2009 to mark the occasion of “Earth Day”.
 
   
Sakshi Chahal of class VII A participated in the “Recycling of Waste Materials Contest” and won first prize.
 
   
Aviral Sharma of class VI A participated in the “Poster Making Contest” on the topic “My Responsibility: Cure the Ailing Earth” and won second prize. Both students received a brass planter along with merit certificates. The students achieved their excellent results by using creative & innovative ideas in their presentations.
 
   
 
   
   
International Olympiad of Mathematics  
11 December 2008  
   
International Olympiad of Mathematics, New Delhi organized a Mathematics Olympiad on 11th December 2008.  
   
Prateek Buddhiraja of class X bagged the Third Olympiad Rank, First State Rank and First Class Rank along with a gold medal and a Still Camera.  
   
Rohit Gupta of class X bagged the 31st Olympiad Rank, Second State Rank and Second Class Rank along with a silver medal.

Darshan Academy Delhi  
Times of India declared Garima Jaitely of class X “Student of the Year 2006-07”.  
   
Students of Darshan Academy Delhi participated in a painting & essay competition organized by the Foundation for Unity of Religions and Enlightened Citizenship (FUREC). 80 selected paintings and essays were printed in a book called “10 Ways to Change the World” with a foreword written by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. It was a matter of great pride for the whole Darshan family that18 out of 80 selected paintings and essays were contributions from Darshan Academy students. Students had an opportunity to meet Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at the release of the book in October, 2007. He personally autographed a book for each student.

Shankey Gupta achieved an outstanding performance in the class X exams 2006-2007. He was awarded a merit certificate by CBSE for being among the top 0.1% successful candidates of CBSE in the class X exams of science & technology and social science.  
   
Amit Kapoor, Akshay Sharma, Ashish Chaterjee and Gurpreet of classes VII to IX were selected for CBSE National Taeckwando Championships and won bronze medals at the national level.
